Despite today’s call by the Armenian Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan to Heritage party to hold consultations with parliamentary majority regarding bill on Karabakh’s recognition, it turned out that the ruling party has nothing to tell its oppositional colleagues.

Head of Republican parliamentary group Galust Sahakyan stated that coalition parties decided they would oppose including Heritage’s bill in the agenda. “The only thing we offer is to remove the bill from the agenda and leave it in circulation in the parliament,” Sahakyan said.

Head of Heritage faction Stepan Safaryan told NEWS.am that the parliamentary majority had not appealed to them so far with a proposal to hold consultations. He stressed that vote on the document cannot be postponed forever. “In this case the question should be raised during each four-day session and each time decision to postpone would be made. It is shameful.  Eventually, Hovik Abrahamyan promised us to put the document to the vote during this four-day session,” he said. Commenting on Sahakyan’s statement, Heritag MP noted, “If a document is in the circulation in the parliament, it means it is included in the agenda.”

Talking to NEWS.am, the Parliament Vice-Speaker, RPA Board member Samvel Nikoyan reported that the RPA faction will act effectively if the bill is put to the vote.
