The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) held an Executive Body session on Tuesday, during which it discussed issues related to the Congress slated for November 26.

National Assembly (NA) MP Gagik Minasyan told the aforementioned to reporters after the end of the session.

In his words, the session was chaired by the RPA President Serzh Sargsyan: “Changes in party program and regulations are planned to be made. A number of organizational issues related to the congress were discussed,” Minasyan said.

Referring to the issue concerning PM Karen Karapetyan’s joining the RPA, he noted that as far as he knows Karapetyan wrote no application to join the party.

Asked whether the issue of making amendments to the bill on 1000 AMD payments for army needs, and specifically the proposal to withdraw from payments by writing an application, had been discussed, Minsayan noted that that issue is still under discussion, there being no final decision.

In fact, former PM Hovik Abrahamyan also attended the Executive Body session.
