UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressed a deep concern over the deterioration of the situation along the line of control in Kashmir and urged India and Pakistan to avoid escalation of the conflict, reports Xinhua.
The statement said that Ban Ki-moon calls both sides to prioritize restoration of peace and stability. He expressed confidence that India and Pakistan can reach understanding and long-lasting peace.
