YEREVAN. - The subsequent session of the Board adjunct to the Defense Minister of Armenia took place in the administrative complex of the Defense Ministry on Friday. The session was dedicated to the activity of the military institution, the development plan of the armed forces and the implementation of the state program on military technology development.

In the framework of the cooperation between the armed forces of the republic and combination of actions, the representatives of the Supreme Command of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Karabakh) Defense Army also attended the session.

Head of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Movses Hakobyan made a report. He stressed that the striking and firing capacities of the Armenian Armed Forces were expanded during the reporting period: the military bases were re-equipped; the Armenian armed forces acquired new military and technical means in accordance with the adversary’s capacities and nature of wars; the military units carrying out military watch were equipped with video surveillance systems and equipment, as well as night vision scopes.

Analyzing the course of implementing the plan and the program, Hakobyan noted that the measures implemented are aimed at further increasing the combat-readiness of the armed forces and efficient fulfillment of the tasks.

Summing up the work of the session, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan once again underscored the importance of the discussed issues.
