Georgian Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili left for an official visit to Turkey.
Construction of Marabda-Tetritskaro-Tsalka-Akhalkalaki-Kartsakh railway section will be on the agenda.
Ramaz Nikolaishvili plans to meet Turkish Minister of Transport and Minister of Regional Development and Foreign Trade, Georgia Online reported.
“The project implemented by Georgia jointly with Azerbaijan and Turkey will be discussed,” Nikolaishvili said.
The project provides for 70 km branch and 4 km tunnel to connect Georgian railway with the Turkish one.
Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway constructed bypassing Armenia is aimed at its isolation.
