On the basis of information from various international agencies, the Central Bank of Armenia has released its forecasts of prices on international commercial markets. Specifically, world copper prices are expected to range within U.S. $8,000 per ton. Gold price will get stabilized by the 4th quarter and reach U.S. $1,350 per ounce.

Wheat prices will remain high. The U.S. Department of State forecasts a crop yield of 641 million tons for 2010-2011 against 688 million tons last year.

No deficit is expected, however. A 633,000,000 ton demand is expected for the period. The world crops reserves will total 175,000,000 tons – a 22,000,000 ton decrease. The expected price is U.S. $7.5-7.8 per bushel.
