Karabakh war veteran with disability group I, Bakhtiyar Bayramov, torched his car in Azerbaijan as a sign of protest against the actions of the country’s traffic police.

In Bayramov’s words, although the court cancelled the fine imposed on him, the chief of traffic police told him that the fine was not cancelled and that he didn’t honor the court’s decision, Meydan TV reports. Consequently, the amount of the fine grew from 400 to 600 manat over a few months.

The veteran noted that he used his VAZ-2109 with license plate number 16-BA-253 as a taxi. According to the residents, the abovementioned chief of traffic police makes taxi drivers buy cigarettes and Redbull for him. Otherwirse, he doesn’t allow them to work.

The Karabakh War veterans living in that region of Azerbaijan are going to stage a protest.
