YEREVAN. - A deputy cannot vote if he faces a conflict of interests while voting for a bill.

MP of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Hovhannes Sahakyan, who is also the Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on State and Legal Affairs, stated the aforementioned in the parliament on Wednesday, introducing the bill on making amendments to the Law on “National Assembly Regulation.”

The decision on who is interested in which bill shall be made by the Parliamentary Committee on Ethics. But, a deputy maystate about that without waiting for the aforementioned decision.

“Otherwise, the voting will be considered legal. But anyone who considers that the deputy’s interest hasn’t been noticed in a particular case can apply to the Ethics Committee,” Sahakyan added.
