On December 15, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I visited the  Armenian Embassy in Iran. He was accompanied by leaders of the dioceses of Iran and the Iranian community.

During the meeting, the Armenian Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan welcomed the Catholicos, introduced him developments in Armenian-Iranian relations and the role of pan-Armenian community's in international relations.

Catholicos Aram I, sharing his impressions of his visit to Tehran, paid importance to strengthening Motherland-Diaspora ties, considering them as a necessary precondition for preservation of national identity and reaching for advancement.
