Turkey hopes some progress will be achieved on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the upcoming OSCE summit in Astana in December 1-2, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic told the reporters.

According to him, very positive statements are made in media at the Astrakhan meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian presidents.

“We learnt about the meeting only from media. As we always say, there is an unfair situation. This problem should be solved. We hope desired results will be produced at the meeting in December,” he said.

As NEWS.am reported previously, on October 27, Russian President Dmitry Medevdev hosted the latest round of talks between Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in Astrakhan.

The meeting resulted in a joint declaration in which the sides agreed on the need for confidence-building measures, including a POWs and human remains swap “with the assistance of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group co-chairs and the International Committee of the Red Cross.”
