Major accident took place in Armavir province of Armenia on Friday.

At about 6:00 pm, the Volvo truck driven by the Serbian citizen Yubisha Stanislav (license plate number: NE 11 3 KE), a Volkswagen Vento (license plate number: 31 ՍՏ 527), an Opel (license plate number: 35 AԼ 397) and another Opel  (license plate number: 34 ՏP 468) collided on the 5th km of Vagahrshapat-Armavir highway, Shamshyan.com reports.

Consequently, the Volkswagen was thrown away along the middle of the field to a brooklet. The rescuers brought driver Simon Khachatryan, 52, and his passenger out of the car. They were taken to Vagharshapat medical center, but yhe passenger died on the way. According to the doctors, S. Khachatryan is in a critical state.

The police and the Investigative Division are ascertaining the data regarding all the drivers, wounded and the dead.

Those gathered at the site said that the dead passenger and the driver were married.
