Seismologists recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 in the western part of Peru, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The epicenter of the quake was 109 km from the town of Paramonga, which is an archaeological monument. The earthquake lies at a depth of 35 km, Interfax reported.
