Yerevan refuted reports spread by the Azerbaijani press regarding injury of Azerbaijani soldier in the contact line between Azerbaijani and NKR armed forces.

“Every day Azerbaijan spreads misinformation to clear the way for non-fulfillment of agreements recently reached by the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Astrakhan on Russia’s initiative,” David Karapetyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Defense Ministry told NEWS.am.

“It is a regular misinformation by the Azerbaijani side. Armenia maintains ceasefire, whereas Baku is just clearing the way not to fulfill arrangements made in Astrakhan. We express concern over the developments,” he added.

According to the Azerbaijani sources, Farrukh Sabirogli Zeynalov was allegedly injured as a result of ceasefire violation.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders met in Astrakhan on October 27. The sides agreed to exchange the POWs and return bodies of the killed.
