Turkey is going to take over chairmanship of the CE Ministers’ Committee for six months on November 6.

The TRT TV channel reports that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that such developments will show the level of democracy reached in Turkey. Turkey’s chairmanship of the CE Ministers’ Committee, while a Turkish citizen is chairing the CE Parliamentary Assembly, is a historical event, Davutoglu said.

During the six months Turkey will consider reforms of the European Court of Human Rights, independent auditors’ activities and consolidation of tolerance in Europe.
