Tehran started construction of the largest hospital specialized on cancer therapy, IRNA reported.

The hospital with the area of 45,000 sq.m, is designed for  800 beds. Construction will be carried out within one year.

According to the head of the Cancer Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, 500,000 Iranians are suffering from cancer.

It is envisaged that the largest specialized hospital in the Middle East will represent all services to patients.
