The average annual inflation rate was 7.8% in Armenia this January-September against the same period of 2009, which is among the highest in the CIS.

The CIS Statistical Service reports inflation was registered in all CIS member-countries this January-September. The highest rise in consumer prices was registered in Ukraine (9.3%), Moldova (7.2%), Kazakhstan (7%), Belarus (7%) and Russia (6.4%).

Consumer prices rose by 5.6%, 5.2% and 4.9% in Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan respectively. No information on Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan is available.

In Jan. - Sept. consumer prices went up by 7% in CIS states.
