The Wings of Tatev ropeway will stop operating for four days, the press service of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia told NEWS.am.

Ropeway Director Tigran Ghazaryan said that the ropeway will stop operating twice a year to change winter and summer operating modes. The ropeway is now switching over to the winter operating mode.

The Wings of Tatev ropeway was constructed by the Garaventa Doppelmaye Group (Sweden and Austria). Company representatives go on working at the ropeway.

The world’s longest 5.7-kilometer ropeway, Wings of Tatev, opened in Armenia on October 16.

The 5,700 meters long ropeway got a certificate from the Guinness Book of Records on October 23, 2010.
