The opening of a diplomatic mission of the United Arab Emirates in Armenia will give string impetus to the development of bilateral relations, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated at his meeting with Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, UAE Minister for Foreign Trade.

The press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed NEWS.am that Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that the UAE foreign trade minister’s regular visits to Armenia, as well as an Armenia-UAE business forum opened in Yerevan today, will give impetus to bilateral economic relations and amplify investment opportunities. Armenia attaches special importance to cooperation in such fields as high technologies, education, science and pharmaceutics and is ready to create necessary conditions for UAE exporters.

The UAE foreign trade minister conveyed greetings from UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Presenting the discussions at the forum, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi stressed that the 40 UAE businessmen participating in the forum are interested in establishing contacts with their Armenian counterparts.
