Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia, Davit Lokyan, on Thursday received a delegation, led by Aras Free-Trade Zone (Iran) Managing Director and Chairman of the Board, Mohsen Khadem Arab-Baghi.
Lokyan underscored the new opportunities for the strengthening and development of Armenia-Iran relations; in this context, he stressed the Armenian government’s initiative of creating a free economic zone (FEZ) in Syunik Province.
Arab-Baghi, in turn, offered specific proposals for cooperation in numerous domains.
The Armenian minister, for his part, reflected on the creation of a complete model for the FEZs between Armenia and Iran.
At the end of the talk, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to determine new domains of cooperation and deepen collaboration.
