YEREVAN. – Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan is planning to visit Iran. This was announced during a media briefing on Friday.

Summing up 118 days of his work as a minister, Mr. Sargsyan said he visited Nagorno- Karabakh twice and met with the leadership of the Defense Army. He also took part in the session of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers, and paid an official visit to Russia. The Minister also visited Greece and Georgia.

Speaking of military education, the Minister touched upon the prospects of converting the school after Monte Melkonian in the best educational institution of the country.

“Without skilled officers are work will not be effective,” he added.

Earlier, it was decided to merge Pokr Mher lyceium and the school after Monte Melkonian. In the future, school will be transferred to Tavush region.
