After Donald Trump’s recent bill about US entry visas, the rules for issuing visas to Russians have changed.

Under the new rules, in order to receive a new business, tourist, transit or journalist (B1 / B2, C1 / D and I) visa, the Russian citizens should submit their applications no later than 11 months after the expiry of the previous visas. Earlier, that period made 47 months.

The US Embassy explained in the interview with Dozhd magazine, that the changes have been made in accordance to changes of Visa Interview Waiver Program, which stipulate that non-immigration visas can be processed for the second time without an interview.

On January 27, the US President Donald Trump signed a bill on new entry rules. The bill temporarily bans the entry of the citizens of seven Muslim countries, including Iran, Iraq and Syria, to the US, as well as freezes the reception of refugees.
