YEREVAN. - The delegation led by Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan on Monday left for an official visit to Iran upon the invitation of the Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Hossein Dehghan.

During the visit Sargsyan will hold talks with his Iranian counterpart. It is planned to discuss the current situation of bilateral defense cooperation, development prospects, regional security and other issues of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of the official visit, the Armenian Defense Minister will also have meetings with the supreme leadership of the executive and legislative authorities of Iran. Furthermore, he will visit different scientific and research, as well as industrial enterprises.

Moreover, during his stay in Tehran, Minister Sargsyan will meet with the representatives of the Armenian community of Iran.
