YEREVAN. – The first place in the Capture the Flag contest in Yerevan was taken by the team HamBalls with 11,400 points.

Then guys from the “Cyber Army” developed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, MythBusters team, took the second place with 11,200 points. Viroos team which scored 9150 points got the third place.

All the winning participants were granted awards. Asthe team which took the 4th place lost only at the last minutes, it was also awarded.

Armenia for the first time hosted CTF EVN cyber security event.

 Event was organized by Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), 1guard Security LLC and Microsoft Armenia, in cooperation with Monitis Armenia, Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center - ISTC, Metronom.

The competition was held as a game and lasted 24 hours on February 4, 2017. The number of participants exceeded expectations with more than 100 registered participants and about 25 teams. Players were invited to ask questions and solve a number of problems of varying complexity. The tasks involved such aspects as the information security, cryptography, steganography, binary analysis, engineering analysis, web, mobile and network security.
