The RA Control Chamber arrived at wrong conclusions and violated the Armenian Constitution, says a statement issue by the GeoProMining Gold Company. The company denies all the accusations brought against it by the Control Chamber.

According to the company, the Control Chamber has conducted inspections this year and prepared a report with numerous errors.

The Control Chamber did not consider the company’s objections and explanations in defiance of the RA Constitution and relevant Armenian laws.

In dealing with the Control Chamber the company stated its willingness for cooperation and placed all the information at the chamber’s disposal. The company believes the Control Chamber has not sufficient human resources for an objective analysis of such specialized production. The inspections were not conducted by experts in this field, which is the reason for wrong conclusions.

The company believes the Control Chamber’s conclusions cause damage to its international reputation and officially states its intention to file a lawsuit against the Control Chamber.

Chairman of the RA Control Chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan has brought a number of accusations against GeoProMining Company, which is developing the Sotk and Meghradzor goldfields, as well as operating the Ararat Gold Recovery Factory.

According to Zakaryan, the company was licensed to develop the goldfields with violations of law.
