YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliament adopted in the first reading the draft amendments to the Criminal Code on weakening of the penalties for tax evasion.

The bill was adopted unanimously by 96 votes, the parliamentary correspondent of Armenian News - NEWS.am reported.

According to new bill, those who include in a report false data, using forged documents in order to reduce the tax base, will be held accountable. At the same time, it is proposed to increase the threshold for criminal penalties from two to four million drams (about $ 8.3 thousand).
