On November 5, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake hit Lurestan province, Iran. According to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the tremors were registered 60 km of Burujed city, at the depth of 24.4 km, RBK reports.

Over 25 people were hospitalized. The quake damaged several buildings in Dorood city. Local residents are panic-stricken with aftershocks.

Iran is located in a seismically active zone and earth shocks are regularly registered in the country.
