On November 6, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to Gegharkunik region.

During the visit, Serzh Sargsyan was informed of cleaning work on Lake Sevan, as well as renovation works on Sevan-Martuni-Getap-Lchashen roads. The roads were greatly damaged by the rising level of water. Funds will be allocated for the reconstruction of some damaged roads as well.

Armenian Vice Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan stated a special board was set up for effective control over Sevan National Park. The board has already held a meeting and focused on the reconstruction prospects of damaged road sections, further development of park infrastructures, as well as extending lines of communications.

“Representatives of different agencies are included in the board, which will develop multifaceted approach to the problem,” Gevorgyan said.

According to him, it is necessary for the solution of various problems.
