About 2,000 private houses are to be constructed in the Lori region, Armenia, under the restoration program in the earthquake zone.
On Nov. 6, RA Minister of Urban Development Vardan Vardanyan reported that 220 private houses have been constructed in the New Neighborhood of Spitak. “At least 354 private houses will be constructed in Spitak, and 1,821 houses in 24 rural settlements,” the Minister said. He stressed that the restoration program is in the center of the Armenian President’s attention. Vardanyan said that all the best will be done for the program to be completed on schedule.
The Minister also handed keys to 165 families, with the rest 161 families to receive keys later. Another 55 families will get housing soon. Chief Architect of Armenia Narek Sargsyan pointed out that a new school and kindergarten will soon be constructed in Spitak.
