YEREVAN. – Giving people nicknames and then continuing to address them in this way is just a dreadful phenomenon that bespeaks the upbringing of a person.

Government Chief of Staff-Minister, and ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member Davit Harutyunyan, told the aforesaid to NEWS.am when asked why the RPA decided to put persons with nicknames on its lists for the upcoming parliamentary election.

“If you also engage in politics, your nickname also could circulate in society,” added Harutyunyan. “This does not mean at all that this speaks good or bad about you, whereas the vote of the voter is the most decisive.”

On February 11, the RPA partially presented who will run for parliament on the regional lists of the party; these candidates include people with nicknames as well as army generals and athletes.
