If by February 23, the former Chairman of the Control Chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan doesn’t withdraw his resignation request, the National Assembly will discuss the issue of electing a new President of the Chamber, said the Vice President of the Republicans Eduard Sharmazanov in his interview with NEWS.am. 

"According to the law, Zakaryan can withdraw his resignation till February 23. If he doesn’t, I think it is likely that we will consider the issue of the CC elections at the next four-day session," he said.

As reported earlier, Zakaryan explained his resignation, by his intention to stand beside his friend Gagik Tsarukyan. He now heads Tsarukyan’s party's election headquarters, and according to the preliminary data, takes the 2nd place in the party list.
