Georgia is ready for talks with Russia on repatriation of the “Russian spies”, Nino Kalandadze, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, told the journalists today.
According to her, Russia has already requested information about its citizens via the Swiss embassy.
In October Georgian press reported that 20 people were arrested in Tbilisi. Last week Georgian Internal Ministry issued the names of “Russian spies”.
“The counter Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has conducted a major special operation named “Enveri” as a result of which 15 persons covertly working for the Main Intelligence Division of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation were detained. Among 15 detainees two persons have concluded plea-bargain agreement,” reads the statement on Internal Ministry’s official website.
