According to the information at Zhamanak daily’s disposal, on November 8, a conscript soldier Davit Melkonyan made an attempt of suicide in Hadrut military unit.

Melkonyan was immediately taken to Central Military Hospital in Yerevan. The doctors could save his life.

As reported previously, On October 3, at about 7:00 p.m., the body of Samvel Khachatryan (born in 1992) was found hanged in the basement of the barracks at the same military unit. According to official version, Khachatryan committed a suicide. However, talking to journalists, Samvel’s sister rejected the official version (suicide). She said her brother had been brutally beaten up, multiple bruises and the fracture of the right wrist being evidence thereof. He was then strangled and hung to look as a suicide.

It is not ruled out Melkonyan might have testified to the case and posed a threat to somebody.
