New version of the Azerbaijani-made Istiglal sniper rifle will be produced in Turkey, Unal Onsipahioglu, Director General of Turkey’s Machine and Chemistry Organization (MKEK), told APA news agency.

The rifle prepared by the experts of the Defense Industry Ministry will also be produced by MKEK.

According to him, this weapon can be included into the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.

Istiglal was first exhibited at Africa Aerospace Defense-2010 (AAD-2010)” international defense exhibition in Cape Town.
