Almost all Armenian schools will be united in a single Internet network by the end of 2011 , Areg Grigoryan, director of the National Center of Educational Technologies, told NEWS.am-Innovation, noting that 644 schools are already connected.

“Another 300 schools will be connected by the end of 2010 ,” he said, adding that 137 m budget funds have been allocated for the program.

Next year about 450 schools will join the network as well. “School network is an internal Internet connection which will enable schools to exchange information and participate in different forums. The system will also provide an opportunity for implementation of online educational programs,” Grigoryan said.
