Armenian Ambassador to Syria Arshak Poladyan held a meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Culture Riad Ismat and conveyed to him RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan’s invitation to visit Armenia.

The press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed NEWS.am that the sides discussed bilateral cultural cooperation, the present situation and development prospects.

Ambassador Poladyan and Minister Ismat made a high appraisal of the two serious events – the Spartak ballet in Damascus and Days of Armenian Culture in Syria.

The sides also pointed out the need for extending the practical cultural cooperation program. Minister Ismat expressed willingness to visit Yerevan and sign a practical program.

The sides reached a preliminary agreement on holding Days of Culture in Armenia next May.
