The delegations of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan on Wednesday signed a memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of railroad transport.

The general tariff on the railroad for 2017 was considered during the trilateral meeting, IRNA reports.

The Iranian delegation, which is on a three-day visit to Moscow, also visited Russian commercial and transport companies. Along with the Azerbaijani delegation, they plan to visit the Scientific Research Institute and Control Center of the Russian Railroads.

In case the raolroads of the three countries are linked, most part of the railway of the North-South corridor wiil be activated.

North-South is an international transport corridor, which will ensure the transportation links between the Baltic countries and India via Iran.
