The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg talked on the phone with Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and expressed a serious concern over the government programs of transforming security forces (FSK) into a regular army.

According to Stoltenberg, such unilateral action will not bring to the good. Kosovo’s authorities need to maintain close contacts on this issue with Belgrade, he added. On March 7, Thaci addressed Kosovo’s parliament with a request to assist in the formation of its own armed forces. It is raised complaints by the Serbian authorities.
