Within the frameworks of his working visit to Greece, Artsakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Karen Mirzoyan on Wednesday met with the representatives of a number of political forces represented in the Parliament of Greece, in particular, with Panayotis Zgouridis (Deputy Chairman of the Independent Greeks Party), Lianna Kanelli (Communist Party), Sylvana Rapti (PASOK Panhellenic Socialist Movement), Eve Khristofilopoulou (Democratic Union Party), and Giorgos Koumoutsakos (New Democracy Party).
Mirzoyan briefed the Greek MPs on the situation in Artsakh and around it, also touching on the current stage of the peaceful settlement process of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and the steps taken by the Artsakh authorities for ensuring conditions for the resumption of the negotiation process, the press-service of the Artsakh MFA informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.
Referring to the achievements in the state-building process and the latest developments in Artsakh, the FM underscored the determination of the Artsakh people and authorities in strengthening the independent statehood based on democratic values and principles.
During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on the opportunities and prospects of cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy.
