Draft resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh was removed from the agenda of 56 session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly at the request of all sides, said Karen Avagyan, head of the Armenian delegation to NATO PA.

Removing and postponing of the resolution is based on proposals of all sides, Armenia and Azerbaijan, he said, RFE/RL reported. “Parliamentary Assembly’s approaches led to removing the issue form the agenda,” Avagyan added.

The Armenian delegation to PA has prepared proposals but last week it became known that the issue would not be discussed during this session. As to whether the issue is wholly left off the agenda, Avagyan said that it would be declared after their return. “We will discuss future fate of the document jointly with certain officials here,” he noted.

According to him, even if the document will be discussed there will be no obstacles to voicing our position in any agency. “We are ready to voice our position from all the platforms,” Avagyan emphasized

The Autumn Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly opened on November 12 in Warsaw. It hosts 260 parliamentarians from 28 member states, as well as observers from other countries.
