Moscow calls France’s attempts of rendering aid to Syria and demanding Assad’s resignation paradoxical. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in response to the speech of the French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault on the Syrian issue, reports RIA Novosti.

" Demanding the legitimate president of a country to resign as a condition of providing assistance to the population of this country is paradoxical. One gets an impression that this is a blackmail,” said Zakharova.
