On November 15, Leader of Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie L. Yovanovitch and Coordinator for U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia Daniel Rosenblum.
The officials discussed Armenia’s domestic policy issues and socio-economical situation, ANC press service informed NEWS.am. The sides also touched upon issues on corruption and electoral system in the country. Armenian first President presented issues on political prisoners, prospects for their solutions to the U.S. Ambassador and considered it necessary to put an end to assaults on jailed opposition leader and editor of "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily Nikol Pashinyan in Kosh penitentiary.
Deputy Director of the Office on Caucasus Affairs and Regional Conflicts of the Department of State Mr. John Espinoza and U.S. Embassy’s Assistance Coordination Group coordinator Charles Lobdell also attended the meeting.
