YEREVAN. - The voting at the nationwide parliamentary elections of Armenia ended at 8:00 pm local time. The vote counting is starting.

At 9:00 pm, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia will inform about the final number of voter turnout by the time of closing the polling stations. As of 5:00pm, the voter turnout amounted to 50.93 percent.

The CEC is expected to launch summing up of the voting results closer to midnight.

Five political parties and four blocs are running for parliament. Political parties have to get 5 percent of votes, whereas the blocs need 7 percent to be elected to the National Assembly of Armenia.
