French President Francois Hollande expressed a solidarity and offered an assistance to Russia and the Russian people in connection with the terrorist attack that took place in St. Petersburg, announced the Elysee Palace in a statement.
"This tragic event reminds us of the need to maintain a constant vigilance," Hollande said. France is ready to respond to any request for assistance made by Russia," he stressed.
As reported earlier, according to the official data, the bomb blast in St. Petersburg’s metro took place on April 3, killing 10 people. According to some press reports, there are about 14 deaths, 37 people were injured. The Russian Prosecutors’ Office is considering a possibility of terrorist attack. There has been announced a prosecution of two people.
