Armenian MP Viktor Dalakyan called on his colleagues to put aside party interests and unite in struggle against Azerbaijani false propaganda.

As a result of falsifications of its own history Azerbaijan lays claims to nearly all regional states  Iran, Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, saying that Azerbaijani people are descendants of Sumers and other nations living in historical territory of Russia, Kazakhstan and Armenia.

In reply to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s response to these historical lies, Azerbaijan made a fuss which reached even the UN Secretary General. They were indignant over the fact they were called Turkish wanderers, he noted. The MP stressed that descendants of Azerbaijanis were wanderers, adding that state of Azerbaijan was formed only in 1918-21.

Dalakyan stressed that Yerevan should intensify efforts to refute Azerbaijani false propaganda. “It should become a national task for Armenia,” he noted, calling on the parties and state agencies to put aside their personal interests and unite in solving the task.

He offered to create a relevant agency provided by state financing. It will also help to present true facts to the international community, he added.
