The resolution of the Karabakh issue will be discussed at the OSCE summit in Astana, as hard work has been carried out in this direction within recent years, Ermuhamet Ertystaev, adviser to the Kazakh President, told the Russian press.
He recalled that the Karabakh conflict is deep-rooted. “I have an impression that there will be a breakthrough in the Karabakh peace process after the last meeting of the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian leaders. I hope for it, as we have close relations with Baku and Yerevan,” he said.
Kazakhstan is much concerned over hot spots and it would like all the frozen conflicts in CIS territory to be resolved, he added.
