The number of Armenian tourists visiting Turkey reduced in 2010, Mekhak Apresyan, head of tourism and economic development department at the Armenian Economy Ministry, told the journalists today. However, he failed to specify figures, as relevant research is not conducted in the sphere of external tourism.

Reduction in flow of the Armenian tourists is conditioned not only by black PR and security problems of Armenian tourists in Antalya but also by expansion of alternative tourist routs.

In Jan-Sept. 474,000 Armenian tourists spent vacations abroad, 19% more than in 2009.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, according to the Turkish Tourism Ministry data, number of Armenian tourists visiting the country has increased in 2010 as compared with the same period last year. In Jan.-Sept. 52,525 Armenian tourists visited Turkey.
