The 2009 financial global crisis brought about considerable changes in Armenia’s economic indicators, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said speaking at the parliament.

“While drafting the program we took into account macroeconomic indicators. The 2011 draft budget is drawn up based on socio-economic situation in the country,” he said.

At the moment there is not a single expert who can forecast economic crisis and moreover indicate spheres to be impacted by it.

“Post-crisis world will differ from pre-crisis one. We will not manage to reach previous indicators, as we should work taking into account present developments. We should manage to resist future challenges,” he added. He stressed importance of maintaining macroeconomic stability to overcome new challenges. “We will face many unexpected situations in future and we should minimize social risks. That is the reason implementation of social projects is top priority for us,” Premier Sargsyan said.
