NATO does not pose a threat to Iran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a news conference in Baku, on November 18.

“NATO does not pose a threat to Iran. NATO is not capable of playing a role in future world developments,” Ahmadinejad stressed, commenting on the deployment of NATO anti-missile installations in Turkey.

According to him, practice shows that NATO’s previous decisions were wrong, Trend News reports.

”The time when military capacity was used to address political issues is over,” he said.

As NEWS.am reported previously, on November 19, NATO Summit will be held in Lisbon. The deployment of NATO anti-missile installations in Turkey will also be discussed at the summit.
