The 2011 draft budget will be fully implemented. Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan said speaking at the parliament today.

He labeled the document as realistic, taking into account all domestic and external economic tendencies. Minister Davtyan stressed that the government did its utmost to ensure economic stability. “Reduction in indicators does not mean lack of macroeconomic stability,” he said, adding that if there were no macroeconomic stability the consequences would be unpredictable.

The Minister refuted statements that budget is not socially oriented one, stressing that 20% of on-budget expenditures will be allocated to the social sector. He also promised to review certain budget indicators, in particular those referring to the programs of stable development and medium-term development.

Tigran Davtyan claimed that in 2011 economic growth will exceed 4.6%. He assured that the government will consider proposals of the parliamentary forces within 24 hours, while the final variant of the document will be submitted to the parliament in 4 days.
