On November 19, a car accident occurred at the junction of Mashtots and Pushkin Streets in the centre of Yerevan. A Mercedes collided with a Volvo.

According to witnesses, Mercedes was at the service of Chief of Staff of Armenian General Prosecutor’s Office Ashot Yesayan, whereas Volvo belonged to a Karabakh official, a photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan told NEWS.am. The driver of Mercedes was 56-year-old Edward Hovhannisyan, whereas the driver of Volvo 20-year-old Erik Abgaryan.

Officers of Yerevan Road Police arrived at the accident site. The vehicles were taken to the police impound lot.

An investigation is underway.
